This Cookie Policy forms part of the Love You Italy Privacy & Cookie Policy. It explains cookies, local storage, pixels, tags, embedded content and similar technologies used by Lake Como Explorer S.r.l.
1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Local storage keeps information in the browser without a traditional cookie. Pixels, software development kits and JavaScript tags can transmit interaction information to a provider. Embedded maps, videos and booking tools may connect to another provider when enabled.
2. Our categories
- Strictly necessary: security, load balancing, consent choices, account sessions and core functions. These cannot be disabled through the consent tool.
- Preferences & functionality: language, region, currency, optional maps, videos, chat or a Bókun booking widget. These are disabled before consent where the law requires opt-in.
- Analytics & statistics: measurement and product improvement, potentially including Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. These are disabled before consent in opt-in regions.
- Marketing & advertising: advertising measurement or personalisation, potentially including Meta Pixel and Google Ads tags. These are disabled before consent in opt-in regions.
3. Your current choices
You can accept all optional categories, reject them all, or choose categories separately. Rejecting optional technologies does not prevent access to ordinary site content, although an optional video, map or booking widget may remain unavailable until you enable its category.

5. Google Tag, Microsoft Clarity and Meta Pixel
Love You Italy may enable Google Tag Manager/Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Meta Pixel for measurement or marketing. In opt-in regions, these services remain unavailable until the relevant consent is given. Google Consent Mode may send default “denied” signals before a Google tag; this is intended to communicate that storage and personalised advertising are not permitted. If these services are not configured, no data is sent to them merely because they are named in this policy.
6. Global Privacy Control and US opt-outs
Where applicable, a recognised Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal is treated as a request to opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising. You may also use “Reject all” or disable Marketing in cookie settings. We do not sell personal information for money.
7. Browser controls
Most browsers let you delete or block cookies. Blocking all cookies may affect sign-in, saved choices and other necessary functions. Browser controls do not always block pixels, scripts or local storage, which is why the site also provides its own consent settings.
8. Retention and renewal
The consent choice currently expires after 180 days and may be requested again sooner if the legal categories, purposes, providers or policy materially change. Consent records are normally retained for 12 months. Individual provider durations appear in the table above.
